After 10 Years, I'm Back — And Here's Why I’m Writing Again
Hello again, dear readers!
It’s been 10 years since I last posted here. What started as a simple online diary during our church wedding preparations in the Philippines has now become a precious part of our story. I never imagined that one day, I’d return to this blog with a decade’s worth of real-life stories, challenges, and lessons learned through faith.
Back then, we had already been married for 9 years before we had our church wedding. At that time, we thought we had seen enough of life. But looking back now, we realize — God was just beginning to strengthen us, and our relationship was about to go through deeper growth.
Through trials, parenting, career shifts, and moments of uncertainty, our faith was tested and refined. We’ve faced days where all we could do was pray and trust — and that trust carried us through.
One of our biggest challenges came in 2018. Both our careers were shaken. My company, where I had worked for 7 years, decided to relocate its marketing department to Cyprus. None of us in the team were transferred — my boss even said, “I know you all have families here. The life in Cyprus might not be what you’re hoping for.” That marked the end of an era for me.
At the same time, Julius' company outsourced his job, and with that change, he lost his family benefits — including our health insurance. That was the moment we were shaken the most. We had three kids to think about, a life we built in Dubai, and suddenly, everything was uncertain.
That’s when we made the difficult decision to bring our kids back home to the Philippines, to be cared for by my eldest sister. It was painful, but necessary. We didn’t stop being parents — in fact, we learned to parent from a distance, to love harder, and to lean on God even more.
I look back now and still wonder, How did we survive that? The answer is simple: God’s grace.
So much has happened in these 10 years — I’ve grown as a wife, as a mom, and most of all, as a woman of faith. Now, I’m finally returning to this blog to share those experiences with you — not just the polished parts, but the real-life journey of building a family, keeping a marriage strong, and staying faithful even when life feels upside down.
Every post from here on will be a small window into the lessons we’ve learned — from parenting, to faith, to personal growth and everyday life.
If you’ve ever gone through a tough season, or if you’re wondering how to keep walking when things get hard, I hope our story reminds you that you are not alone.
Thank you for being here again. I can’t wait to share more with you, one story at a time.
