Do You Believe in the Evil Eye?

Image
Do you believe in the evil eye? Some call it envy. Others say it’s just coincidence. But there are moments in life when things suddenly shift — unexpected challenges, constant delays, or a heavy feeling you can’t explain. It makes you wonder: Is someone secretly wishing harm on me? Whether you believe it or not, envy is real, and sometimes it comes from people you least expect — even those who smile with you. In my next post, I’ll share a personal experience where I strongly felt the impact of envy, how I discerned who it came from, and most importantly, how I dealt with it spiritually, without fear or bitterness. Sometimes, protection doesn't mean hiding — it means recognizing what's unseen and choosing to fight it the right way: through prayer, wisdom, and God’s covering.

Living Apart from Our Kids: What It Taught Us About Parenting and Sacrifice

If you had told me years ago that I would live away from my children for a season of their lives, I would have said, “Never. I can’t do that.” But life has a way of humbling us, stretching us, and showing us what real sacrifice looks like. After many prayers and painful conversations, we made the hardest decision of our lives — to s...

What started as a simple online diary during our church wedding preparations in the Philippines has now become a precious part of our story. I never imagined that one day, I’d return to this blog with a decade’s worth of real-life stories, challenges, and lessons learned through faith. Back then, we had already been married for 9 years before we had our church wedding. At that time, we thought we had seen enough of life. But looking back now, we realize — God was just beginning to strengthen us, and our relationship was about to go through deeper growth. Through trials, parenting, career shifts, and moments of uncertainty, our faith was tested and refined. We’ve faced days where all we could do was pray and trust — and that trust carried us through. One of our biggest challenges came in 2018. Both our careers were shaken. My company, where I had worked for 7 years, decided to relocate its marketing department t...
